First Run Press LLC, a Michigan-registered company (EIN 41-3107724), operates StoryReels, an AI-powered video creation and publishing platform accessible at storyreels.firstrunpress.com ("we", "us", "our", "the Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. It applies to all users of StoryReels.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account information
When you register, we collect your email address, name (optional), and the name of your organization or school. We use this to create your account and communicate with you about the Service.
1.2 Third-party platform data (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
When you authorize StoryReels to connect to a third-party account via OAuth, we receive and store the following:

We never receive your third-party password. Authentication happens entirely inside TikTok / Meta / Google.
1.3 Content you provide
Any source material you upload (books, notes, images, videos, scripts) is stored so we can generate content for you. You retain ownership.
1.4 Usage data
We log basic usage information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. Logs are retained for 90 days.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To operate and improve the Service.
- To publish videos to the third-party accounts you connect, only as you direct.
- To send you transactional and account-related emails (never marketing without your explicit opt-in).
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of these Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) — when we publish content on your behalf using the tokens you authorized.
- Infrastructure providers — Cloudflare (hosting, storage, CDN), Resend (email), OpenRouter and Together.ai (AI inference), ElevenLabs (voice synthesis). Each is bound by contract to protect your data.
- Legal authorities — if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
4. Data Storage and Location
Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (D1 for structured data, R2 for media files) with servers located in the United States. Data at rest is encrypted; data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Revoke third-party platform access at any time.
- Export your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object to certain processing (marketing communications, in particular).

6. TikTok-Specific Disclosures
StoryReels uses the TikTok Login Kit, Content Posting API, and Webhooks under ByteDance's developer terms. Data we receive from TikTok is used solely to provide the Service to you, and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes. You can review your TikTok-authorized apps at tiktok.com/setting/apps-permissions and revoke StoryReels' access at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
StoryReels is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, be aware that your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this transfer.
9. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery and cooperate with any required regulatory reporting.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before taking effect.
